Thank you so much to our choir for the wonderful Korean music at our October 28 worship service. It was amazing to praise God with such a joyful noise not to mention the amazing costumes! We appreciate all the time and effort that when into preparing, practicing and executing such a marvelous service. Special thanks to Choir Director, Handel and accompanist, Yoon. Thank you for organizing the event, finding the costumes and extra musicians. It was a great way to celebrate Reformation Sunday. Thank you for your gift of music that you shared with us and offered to God.
Since Reformation Sunday fell on Halloween this year we asked everyone to come dressed as their favorite reformer, saint or bible character. Here are some of the great costumes. The men are "The parting of the Red Sea" and Melanchthlon. The women are Pharaoh and Joan of Arc. Great job everyone!
Our Maundy Thursday worship service included an optional footwashing experience and a huge potluck meal. The word "Maundy" comes from the latin word mandatum, meaning commandment. Maundy Thursday reminds us that on this night Jesus gave his disciples a new commandment: to love one another. It's was beautiful and meaningful worship service and we hope that you will join us next year. Here's some pictures from the evening.
