Our Youth Group participates in the 30 Hour Famine annually, followed by a spaghetti dinner for the whole congregation.
World Vision's 30 Hour Famine is a worldwide movement of students who are serious about serving God and fighting hunger - all on an empty stomach. For 30 hours, participants get a taste of hunger by not eating - something more than a billion people around the world experience every day. And by doing fundraising activities, community service projects, and learning more about the facts of world hunger, students are changed in amazing ways as they help others and save lives. |

Every couple months our youth group hosts a "Parents' Night Out" event where parents can dropped off their children at church for an evening and our youth group will babysit. Dinner is provided as well as fun activities. Seven children came to the March 6, 2010 event and many parents enjoyed a night out "kids free." We had over 20 children at the May 2010 event. The fee is by donation and all money earned goes to our youth fund. We will let you know when the next "Parents' Night Out" will be. |
