How you can get involved! PDF Print E-mail

We have so many service program going on here that it's hard to list them all. We help out at the local food bank by volunteering there as well as collecting food here at the church. See the picture below for a haul we donated one month.

We teach ESL classes, host a homeless shelter in our church, pick up trash on Lake City Way, clean up the creek in our neighborhood, run the Lake City Holiday Project and on and on. If you'd like to find out a way you can become involved in these numerous projects and more please contact our Community Outreach Director, Terry Vogel: This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it

Confirmation Class PDF Print E-mail
Written by Julie Blum

Confirmation is a lifelong process of maturing in the Christian faith. This process begins at baptism and continues until a person is called to be with God in heaven. Confirmation includes a public ceremony in which baptized youth receive a blessing and publicly affirm the vows made at their baptism. At Maple Leaf Lutheran Church Confirmation Class is a two year program of study.

The grade level that this class is for is 6th, 7th and 8th grade. If you know anyone in that age range who is interested in committing to this class for two years please talk to Pastor Julie.

Here are some photos of some recent classes:
