I have a high school student in my congregation who has asked me to come to his class and explain Christianity. He goes to a private school and they are doing a series on religions of the world, learning the basics of many of them. I’ve been thinking about this for a couple days now: how do you explain Christianity to a group of high school students in 20 minutes when said students may or may not have any knowledge of Christianity? I have to admit, I’m stressing out a bit about it. The reason I’m worried is that the student may have no knowledge of Christianity or, worse yet, may think they know everything about it. How do you teach something when the learners think they know all there is to know? I have a couple more days to come up with some sort of game plan. I’ll let you know how it goes. Pray for me : )
