MLK Jr. Day of Service 2016 PDF Print E-mail

We had over 60 folks from four neighborhood churches volunteer at the North Helpline Food bank on January 18 and WHAT a day it was!  What an awesome sense of community and doing good for others.  We bagged up SO much beans and rice not to mentioned other things like diapers. Maple Leaf Lutheran Church also contributed $500 to build benches for clients to use as they wait in line.  This will be quite a benefit as many of the clients are elderly and disabled.  Thanks to everyone who contributed money, rice, beans, prayers and their time to make such a huge impact on our community.  We had a wonderful time serving but also getting to know some of our fellow Christians in the neighborhood.  Let Pastor Julie know if YOU have an idea for our next service event. THANK YOU!
